Arguably Man Utd's best outfield player last season has signed a new deal

Ashley Young will remain at the club until 2018 with the option of another year.

ASHLEY YOUNG HAS signed a new three-year deal with Manchester United the club announced today.

Young, who was instrumental in helping Louis van Gaal’s team secure Champions League football last season, had been linked with move away from Old Trafford.

Though Tottenham were among the former Aston Villa winger’s admirers, United have secured his services until 2018 with the option of another season.

Young says of his new contract:

“I am delighted to have signed a new contract. The spirit and motivation amongst this team is very high and we are all determined to make this a season to remember.

All I have ever wanted to do is play football and to be able to continue to do that at the biggest club in the world means everything to me and my family.”

The 30-year old has scored 10 goals in 90 Premier League appearances since joining Manchester United in 2011.
